I'm breaking my self-imposed silence (well, not really self-imposed – more deadline-imposed) to bring you, well, this:

Hence the title of this post: Oh. My. God.
Historically, I've been very pleased with the covers for my books (well, all the different editions of my book, singular, till now), but I've never been truly gobsmacked by a cover before. That changed on Friday when this hit my desk.
And everytime I've looked at it between then and now, my response has been the same: my breath catches in my throat and I mutter, "Wow".
So, this is the cover for my novella, The World More Full of Weeping, which will be published shortly by CZP. There will be two editions available.
The first, a signed hardcover limited edition (with a previously unpublished story that will not appear in the trade edition), will go up for pre-order in the next couple of weeks, with finished books expected in late October or early November. Your only chance to get this limited edition will be during that pre-sale — the edition size will be limited by the number of orders received, and when the pre-order period ends, that's it. I'll be posting details, links, etc, as they happen…
The second edition will be a lovely trade paperback, which, if all goes according to plan, will be in-stores in mid-September. CZP has lined up some great distribution, so all going well, this WILL be in a store near you!
(If you're very, very keen, and you happen to be in Montreal in August, I'll be launching the book at Anticipation, aka WorldCon 2009. The launch party for CZP's list is on the Saturday night… mark your calendars!)
Okay, back into seclusion. My to-do list is as long as my arm, and not getting a whole lot shorter…
is there something i can do to make sure i don't miss the presale?
Hi, Monica,
